pokedex is a Solana launchpad where every coin is quoted in a token backed by a real graded trading card. Each vaulted card mints exactly 1,000 card tokens, and burning 1,000 of them takes a card back out.

Pick your path

Each path is a short guided sequence. Every page in it says which step you are on, and Previous and Next walk it in order.

In 60 seconds

  1. A graded card goes into the vault. A Collector Crypt card, which is a Metaplex Core NFT, is deposited into the card vault with an attestation that names its card identity.
  2. The vault mints 1,000 card tokens for it. There is one token per card identity (grader, grade, printing), so identical copies back one fungible token.
  3. Coins launch against the card token. Every coin starts on a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve whose quote is the card token, with pump.fun's curve shape.
  4. Coins graduate into COIN/CARD pools. When a curve has raised N cards' worth of card tokens, it migrates into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool whose liquidity is locked forever.
  5. Anyone can take a card out. Burning 1,000 card tokens releases the oldest copy still held in that class.
A card becomes a token
  1. VaultA graded card (a Collector Crypt Core NFT) is deposited into the card vault.
  2. 1,000 tokensThe vault mints 1,000 card tokens for it, one token mint per card identity.
  3. CARD/SOL poolThe card token trades against SOL on a Meteora DAMM v2 pool.
Coins quoted in the card
  1. LaunchA coin starts on a Meteora bonding curve priced in the card token.
  2. CurveBuyers pay card tokens. The curve has pump.fun's shape.
  3. GraduationAt N cards raised the coin moves to a COIN/CARD DAMM v2 pool.
Redemption
  1. FIFOThe oldest card still held in the class is released to whoever burned the tokens.
The whole loop. Only a deposited card creates card tokens, and only burning a full card of them takes one out.

Buy anything with SOL

Each card token has a CARD/SOL pool, so a buyer with only SOL goes SOL to CARD to COIN in one transaction. See Buy with SOL.

What pokedex promises, and what it does not

  • Backed by construction. Only a deposit mints, one card of tokens per card, and a redemption burns a full card of tokens before it releases one. Supply can only exceed the cards held if a card leaves the vault by another path. See Backing and poke.
  • Checkable by anyone. Anyone can prove that a vaulted card has left the vault. The class is then flagged and new launches against it stop. See Verify the reserves.
  • No oracle. Prices come from pools and from arbitrage between 1,000 card tokens and the card itself. See Prices.
  • Grades are Collector Crypt's word. Grade, cert and value come from Collector Crypt's record, and the attestor signs what it read. See Trust and security.
  • Pools cannot be halted. A flagged class stops new launches only. Trading in existing Meteora pools continues.
Solana mainnet

Written from the protocol, security and card documents of the pokedex repository and from its code (card-vault, card-launch, cp-ix). Every figure on these pages comes from there.
