Card tokens
A card token stands for one card identity: one printing of one card at one grade, from one grader. Every copy of that identity in the vault backs the same token, 1,000 tokens per card.

One class per card identity
A class is one card identity. All copies of that identity back one fungible class token, the card token.
- Identity string.
gradingCompany|grade|gemrateUniversalId, built from Collector Crypt's public record of the card. That is one printing of one card at one grade. - class_id. The sha256 of the identity string. The class account and its mint are derived from it.
- Created by the admin.
init_classis admin only. It creates the class, its token mint and the token's metadata.
| Example | Identity |
|---|---|
| Charizard ex, Scarlet & Violet 151 #199, PSA GEM-MT 10 | PSA|GEM-MT 10|0d0d77bf0ac8054da6c21b2ead1dfc38203edf70 |
| The same card at PSA MINT 9 | PSA|MINT 9|0d0d77bf0ac8054da6c21b2ead1dfc38203edf70 |
The same card at two grades is two classes and two tokens. The program does not parse the string: it only binds the class to its hash.
The token
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Program | SPL Token (legacy) |
| Decimals | 6 |
| Mint authority | The vault PDA, and nothing else |
| Freeze authority | None: the mint is created without one |
| Tokens per card | 1,000 (shares_per_card, the default) |
| Metadata | Metaplex Token Metadata: name up to 32 bytes, symbol up to 10, URI up to 200, seller fee 0, no creators |
The admin can change shares_per_card only while the class has never had a deposit. After the first deposit it is fixed.
The token's metadata update authority is the vault PDA, and the admin can rename it with set_class_metadata. That metadata is what makes explorers and pools show a coin's pair as COIN / <symbol>.
Which cards can enter
The vault accepts Metaplex Core assets from up to 4 Core collections listed in its config. The live deployment accepts Collector Crypt's Core collection CCryptUfeFSZ3Fgc9FLeKrhLVAP67FSqi1GuVoj9CRac.
The cards with a class at launch are on Listed cards.
The rest of this path
Written from the protocol, security and card documents of the pokedex repository and from its code (card-vault, card-launch, cp-ix). Every figure on these pages comes from there.
